Hi, I’m Araitz, but you can call me Ritz.
I’m an Interior Designer with over 10 years of experience in the commercial interiors industry, but I’m also a foodie, a lover of wine, an avid reader and someone who enjoys keeping active.
I’ve always believed that the best interiors are the ones that tell a story. Although born and raised in the UK, I grew up with Spanish and Dutch parents and a strong appreciation for art, culture and identity. I’ve always loved travelling, meeting new people and experiencing different ways of living. I am naturally drawn to the colours, materials, details and ideas that make each place feel unique. These experiences continue to influence the way I approach design today.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects and have come to really value the connections I’ve made with people, from clients to delivery teams, along the way. For me, the people side of design is just as important as the creative side, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know my clients and the teams I work alongside.
I recently decided to make the move into freelancing, giving me the opportunity to work with a wider range of people and projects across both commercial and residential interiors. I’ve always been complimented on my people skills and my ability to communicate and present ideas clearly and intuitively. I’m also a lover of the little details, with a strong interest in product, colour and creating a sense of consistency and cohesion within the projects I work on.
Ultimately, I really enjoy building relationships, collaborating with others and creating environments that feel considered, cohesive and, most importantly, right for the people who used them.
